RAW FLAVOUR FESTIVAL

RAW Flavour Festival is a 4-day international festival promoting African dance practice, culture and philosophy of community. The festival is for music and dance lovers who want to broaden their knowledge on African traditional and modern dances.
Raising awareness of African dances and their respective cultures, the festival is your one-stop shop for the finest music, incredible shared experiences, and amazing dance workshops with the hottest international and local African artists, performers, and dancers.
Place: Dancehouse (Carlton) and Library at the Dock (Docklands)
Artists: We have gathered la creme de la creme of the African diaspora to teach dance intensives in different styles of African traditional and modern dances, and Afro-influenced dance styles such as House and Dancehall. Check em out!

Community Workshop at RAW Flavour Festival

Join Gracieuse Amah also known as Kwabo Grace in a free, fun and dynamic workshop as part of the Raw Flavour Festival happening 10-13 November 2022.
This workshop is all about sharing good vibes and having fun with your friends and neighbours so grab your trainers, a big smile, and dive into West & Central Afrodances (African modern dances). This event will be followed by a community gathering and lunch.

TONY ALLEN x RAW FLAVOUR EXPERIENCE at the Night Cat

Brought to you by Afrodelica & Kwabo Events. A night for dancers and drummers featuring Ausecuma Beats, Nui Moon with guest vocalist Lamine Sonko, NFA & Cazeaux O.S.L.O and a 12 piece band.
Supported by Dj’s Chris NG, Mike Gerrieri, Karlos And Future roots with fresh Afro flavas throughout the night!

Kwabo from Benin at Melbourne Fringe Festival

“A small house will hold a hundred friends” is an old African proverb, and this dance house is ready to welcome all of you!
KWABO (or welcome in Fon a language of Benin), is an open invitation to all to experience to the Afrodance grooves of Benin, Togo, Ghana, Nigeria and Ivory Coast. It’s simply four days of learning, dancing, and fun. All for the joy of life, in the iconic cultural hub of the Queen Victoria Market.
